Looks guide

every look in e8st is two choices. the grade sets the colour: how the shadows lean, how the highlights bloom, how much grain sits on top. the lens sets the optics: focal length, aperture, bokeh shape, distortion, and the frame it crops to. pick one of each and the photo is finished.

  • Smoke

    Warm amber. Lifted shadows.

    reach for it when: interiors at night, skin under tungsten, anything you want to feel remembered rather than seen.

  • Bleed

    Crushed blacks. Cold rain. Hot magenta.

    reach for it when: rain, wet asphalt, neon signage, and any frame that should feel a little dangerous.

  • Silk

    Theatrical red. Velvet saturation.

    reach for it when: one dominant colour in the frame — a red door, a dress, a market awning.

  • e8st

    Japan · Korea · Thailand. One look.

    reach for it when: the default when you don't know. balanced, warm, holds skin and sky at once.

  • Weave

    Hand-stitched light. Imperfect grain.

    reach for it when: film-grain texture on flat digital light. markets, textiles, worn walls.

  • Hush

    Stillness so thick you can breathe it.

    reach for it when: quiet frames with a lot of empty space. fog, tatami, single figures.

  • Flare

    Neon that screams while the frame stays silent.

    reach for it when: signage and reflections after dark. lets neon shout while the rest stays calm.

  • Dusk

    When the sky and sea agree on a single color.

  • Moss

    Ancient green that eats the light.

  • Frost

    Silence that has a color. It is blue-white.

  • Bloom

    Every color at maximum volume, none of them fighting.

  • Gild

    Gold leaf so thin it is lighter than the air around it.

    The sky goes from blue to black in the time it takes to look up.
